Anjani 2018

We got a new puppy, Sugar, on June 30th, 2016! She's going to be two this March and is the cutest thing ever; she is a little Shih Tzu, with one brown eye, one blue eye, and grayish white fur. Sugar loves to eat human food: toast, croissants, yogurt, berries, oranges, potato chips, popcorn, especially snow, which she loves to gobble up anytime she's taken outside. But the one thing she LOVES is tomatoes, any time someone has a tomato she barks at them or sits with them until they give her some. She loves tomatoes so much that she won't eat her dog food unless we mix in some tomatoes with it. That's why Sugar and Anjani get along so well, they both love tomatoes!

Anjani's New Interests:

Lately, there has been a ton of cold weather, with temperatures in the negatives, and sometimes highs in only the single digits, with a bunch of snow. They even cancelled school on Friday, because of the ice and snow, so it became a four day weekend with today being Martin Luther King Day. Anjani is loving the snow, in fact it's snowing right now! 

Anjani turned fourteen last August, and started marching band as a freshmen. It was very tough, as it's hard to do well and having to run across a football field only to have to run across it again with people yelling at you, but it is worth it in the end. Now Anjani loves running, and plans to do marching band again in the Spring. 

Anjani is also doing very well at school, getting all A's in her first semester at high school, getting a 4.5 GPA, and a score of 1250 (out of 1440) on the PSATs. The school is making them already select classes for their sophomore year, and Anjani has decided to take (besides the required classes for math and English) AP world history, AP chemistry, study hall, journalism, band, and French 2. J'aime l'école.

The Latest on Anjani 2016

Avon and School Updates:

        Anjani is currently in seventh grade at Avon Middle School North and enjoying the snow we have been having lately. It is supposed to be snowing later this week as well. She is writing more and more stories lately, four in her notebook at school, and about twelve on her computer. She has all As and is currently been interested in baking and cooking more often.
        Anjani is participating in the Academic SuperBowl team this year, although she does not know yet whether she is actually on the team or not. She is trying to go and participate in the math, science, and social studies categories.

Interests and Hobbies:

Anjani still takes dance at Arthur Murray. Her dad, Mom, and her have been working on a tango and samba/bollywood routines. She also continues to take dance at the biz, taking classes such as: Jazz 2, Tap 3, and African dance. She enjoys singing, riding her bike, writing, drawing, reading, and checking if there is any more snow coming this winter. She and her mom recently bought a vegetarian recipe cookbook, where they are trying to make new recipes.

Latest Job Interests:

Anjani would like to be a vet, writer, or an optomologist. She isn't quite sure which one yet, but there is still a lot of time for her to figure it out. Lately though, writing has been her top choice.

Olive Garden Story:

We went to Olive Garden for New Years Eve with my best friend Katie and her mom. There was this waitress there, and we were talking about places we want to go to or places we have been. Then Katie jokingly said, "We're moving to Australia!" and the waitress who was bringing our food exclaimed, "You're going to Australia? That's so cool!"

But the big news is that Anjani learned how to ride a bike 1 1/2 month ago!!! And that Anjani earned $500 dollars for her school with her project partner and friend, Sriya, in an Ascend Math competition! They had to create an exploration program by explaining any math topic of their choice in explore, a thing you have to get through before you pass the lesson on Ascend Math. They won first place and are going to spend the money buying fabric to make blankets for elderly people.

Gardening and a Mother's Day "Scam"

        Anjani and I planted the rest of our garden. About a month ago we put in potatoes, onions, and carrots; the potatoes are doing very well. Today we went to Lowes and bought seedlings along with some flowers, and planted them in our garden. We planted: 6 tomato plants, 4 pepper plants, 3 okra plants, 2 cucumber plants, 1 eggplant, and basil. We left growing some tomato and cilantro plants from last year. Then we watered them and I put in coyote urine to scare away rabbits. :- )    

Part 2:
         The other thing that happened today was that Mom tried to use a coupon that Anjani used for Mother's Day. The coupon was for Anjani to put the clothes in her basket away. Mom and I thought that the coupon would be generally good for Anjani putting away all of her clothes. It turned out there was a lot of fine print on the coupon. Anjani said that the coupon was only good for 1 clothes basket. She had written it on the back in fine print, she also put an expiration date, special hours, and rules for when Mom could use the coupon. That Anjani is a clever girl, she said,"I put all the rules on the back, so I wouldn't have to do all of this stuff this week and so Mom couldn't use it all in 1 week."Anjani titled it a Mother's Day "Scam" for 2 reasons: 1. To make me think Anjani thought it was a scam when really she didn't at all. 2. I called it a scam and said that she should become a corporate lawyer and scam other people and not us.

Today Daddy wouldn't let me post anything. he supposed to add things in here but he hasn't since May.

Anjani loves to watch Netflix on her ipad and she watches:
Disney shows over and over, such as "Hannah Montana" and "Good Luck Charlie".
"Cupcake Wars"
"Babysitters Club"

She also has read the whole "Babysitters Club" book series.    

She loves to dance-- she is learning tap and has taken extensive ballroom lessons and is excellent.

She is an excellent student in school.

On TV, she loves to watch "The Voice" and "Dancing with the Stars" and Disney shows (Dog with a Blog, Austin and Alley, Girl Meets World) and "Project Runway".

She loves to argue with her parents; she also likes to exchange neck and back massages.

Mustache

I shaved off my mustache and Anjani freaked out. I guess she never saw me without it. She cried for 30 minutes, she was seriously traumatized. She said I looked like Voldemort.
